• Yemen, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Syria, Nigeria and South Sudan and Sudan were among the eight countries that represent two-thirds - or 72 million people - who faced acute food insecurity last year, according to the Food Security Information Network’s (FSIN) 2019 Global Report on Food Crises.
